Inhalt:	HDTV TV-Standard HDTV ist ein weltweiter digitaler TV-Standard im Breitwandformat mit scharfen Konturen, satten Farben und großer Tiefenschärfe. HDV 1080i (interlaced) sowie 1080p (Full HD, Vollbilder) haben eine Auflösung von 1920 x 1080 Pixel und HDV 720p (Vollbilder) 1280 x 720 Pixel. Am 1. Januar 2004 nahm Europas erster HDTV-Sender, der belgische Euro1080 den Sendebetrieb auf. Der ORF übertrug die Fussballeuropameisterschaft 2008 ebenfalls im HDTV-Format.
